Patient Information

"Implants ... the most natural answer
to missing teeth."

Are You a Candidate for
Immediate Function Implants?

The Immediate Promise:

Smile with Immediate Function Implants only if your  bone is dense enough, bone augmentation may help. Your doctor will diagnose your bone quality. If bone quality is not sufficient, the implants will not be placed in immediate function.

Conventional implants often require a 4-6 months waiting period before temporary teeth can be affixed. With Immediate Function Implants, you go home on treatment day with functioning new teeth, or your existing denture, firmly secured to Physiolock® implants. You can enjoy your favorite foods immediately ... not six months later!

Age is not a factor. If you are healthy enough to have tooth extractions, you are healthy enough to have implant treatment. Through a comprehensive examination, your surgeon will be able to determine the best implant treatment for your special situation.

What if You have Bone Loss?

Bone loss occurs naturally when people lose their teeth. Wearing a denture or partial greatly hastens this process, which can lead to poor fit and discomfort.  PhysioLock® or LOIS Immediate Function Implants are ideal for people suffering with bone loss and can actually promote bone health through the process of chewing food.

Improve the Quality of Your Life and Health.
Immediate Function Implants are the best choice for comfort, confidence, and convenience.
  • No more embarrassment from full or partial denture instability
  • No more discomfort or embarrassing speech difficulties to restrict business and social activities
  • No more irritated and painful gums caused by ill-fitting dentures
  • Minimize progressive bone loss and jawbone shrinkage
What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small, titanium screw-like device which replaces the root of a natural tooth and provides a foundation for attaching permanent artificial teeth. Dental implants are a natural solution for missing teeth.

What is a PhysioLock® or LaminOss® Immediate Function Dental Implant?

The special design of these dental implants allow bone to adapt to the implant immediately, making the implant stable in the jawbone ... with some similarities to the natural tooth root. This design allows the implant to be put into function immediately, especially in better bone quality. You will leave the office on treatment day with stable teeth. You will be able to function and speak normally while the new permanent teeth are being made. In fact, the natural process of chewing actually helps stimulate the implant- bone relationship to assist the healing process.

Implant placement is a non-traumatic procedure. The surgery for these implants are a modified technique that is more gentle and less invasive than conventional treatment by removing less bone to place these implants. Most patients resume normal activities in 2 days.

Are implant supported teeth as strong as my natural teeth?

Research shows that in many cases implants are actually stronger than natural teeth. Compared to removable teeth, studies show implant supported teeth provide increased chewing efficiency. Dental implants can make it possible for you to enjoy your favorite foods again, improve your nutrition, look and feel healthier!

Does Treatment with Immediate Function Implants Cost More?

No. There is no significant difference in treatment fees between immediate function and conventional implants. However, the total treatment time for the PhysioLock® or LaminOss®  Immediate Function Implant is greatly reduced .. up to 4 to 6 months!

Can my general dentist
make my teeth?

Yes. Surgeons work with many general dentists. It's the "Team" approach ... the surgeon places the implants and the general dentist fabricates the permanent teeth. Often, the general dentist comes with the patient to the surgical appointment.
